Troubleshooting

The following are a few troubleshooting tips to address most issues related to this setup. Please feel free to Contact Us or Schedule a Consult.

  • If you get feedback
Be sure you are at least 5 feet awway from the speaker and be sure to point it away from you. Do not have your audio pointed straight at you.

  • If your voice is too low/high for participants
Using "15 minute" increments, gradually increase/decrease the Input 1 (Microphone) knob on the mixer until desired. DO NOT adjust the Music Source volume!

  • If the music is too low/high for participants
Using "15 minute" increments, gradually increase/decrease the Input 2 (Music Source) knob on the mixer until desired. DO NOT adjust the Music Source volume!

  • If the overall volume too high/low for participants
Using "15 minute" increments, gradually increase/decrease the Output (or Master) knob on the mixer until desired.

  • If the music is distorted (underwater, tinny, canny) for participants
Double check you performed Step 6 above. If settings are correct, press Volume Down Button on Music Source, one press at a time, until resolved.

  • If the music is too low/high for you
Set the Speaker volume to the desired level. DO NOT use Music Source to adjust your volume. Adjusting the speaker does not affect your students.

  • If you cannot hear your students
Select your "Internal Speaker" (ie. Internal RealTek, MacBook Speakers) as "speaker". This will allow you to hear your participants on the computers speaker. Another alternative is to use a second speaker just for this purpose. DO NOT USE "Same as System".

  • If you experience system slowdowns
Turn "Original Sound" off and check your computers resources and/or internet connection. Visit our Troubleshooting Page for more help.
